This year the Kincardine Agricultural Society turns 175! This year’s theme, Tipping our Hats to 175!, promises to delight attendees. As tradition dictates, the Fair will be held at Connaught Park on Labour Day weekend, Friday, September 4th, and Saturday, September 5th. Our aim is to raise $20,000 to ensure a weekend brimming with fun, and we are confident that with the steadfast support of our wonderful community, we can achieve this goal! Sponsorship Details Here

Welcome to the Kincardine Agricultural Societys’ Dodransbicentennial!!
We are Tipping Our Hats to 175 years
Since 1851, generations of volunteers have kept the Agricultural Society going. We will never be able to thank them enough for what they have done and continue to do. I’m sure there have been a lot of challenging times over those years, where farming and agriculture seemed to go out of vogue. But the love for the land and the love of food will never go out of style .
It’s easy to forget while you’re walking in the Saturday night parade, that just a few short minutes outside of town is 65,000 acres (528km2)of farmland, consisting of 262 farms, that generate $100 million annually in agri-business to our local economy (census 2021).
People narrowly think of agriculture as just cornfields or cows but it’s also the houseplants in your window, the tomatoes on your patio, and the dandelions in your yard. The magic mix of soil, water and sunshine that produces the food for all living things. From the billions of microorganisms in the soil, to the insects, birds, omnivores, the herbivores, and carnivores all ultimately relying on plant-life to exist.
The Fair has always been and will remain a way to celebrate the harvest and acknowledge the skills and dedication of the people who make it happen.
As we reflect on 175 years of service, please take the time to Tip Your Hat in thanks to the people around you, for their hard work, for their passion, for their dedication, and for the spirit of a rural community that looks out for one another. This is as much a part of agriculture as the cornfields and the cows.
